Winston-Salem to host celebration of all things barbecued

Gourmands from across North Carolina, and the rest of the world as well, are invited to head to Winston-Salem’s Twin City Rib Fest, which will be back for its 13th year.

The festival is a celebration of all things barbecue, and special attention will be paid to locally produced foods and ingredients such as craft beers from Foothills Brewing and Texas Pete Hot sauce, both of which are located in the area.

There will be BBQ competitions as well, and it is expected that competitors will arrive from all over the country to participate in the different contests that will be held. An area printer will be able to both design and then produce an assortment of promotional drinkware for a large function such as this.

Live entertainment will also play an important role in the event, and a wide assortment of performers will be taking to the stage. Those who plan on attending the festival are asked to leave their personal coolers and pets at home.

Admission will start at $5 for adults on the Thursday evening, and the price goes up for the other times. It will be free of charge from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, and those who bring along a donation to the local food bank will be offered a reduced ticket price.

The Twin City Rib Fest will take place from June 1 until 4 at the Winston Salem Fairgrounds. Further details have been provided on its website.
