Chocoholics get a local calling

Chocolate lovers from Williston Park and surrounding communities will have a chance to indulge their love of sweets soon, when the biggest chocolate event in the nation – The Chocolate Expo – comes to the area.

The event brings more than 80 vendors with it, including chocolatiers, bakers, and artisans who make specialty foods, cheeses, gelato, craft sodas, wine, spirits, beer, cider, and more. While most vendors sell chocolate, there are others who provide items that go with chocolate, like wine and cheese. Still others provide products that might be considered “palate cleansers” to give attendees a break from all the chocolate.

The event organizers want people to know that the vendors are mostly small companies from the local area, though nationally-known companies do sometimes attend. However, they are focused on artisanal chocolatiers who can provide unusual flavors and products. Organizers stress that the event is not for those who are hoping to load up on cheap candy, but instead, for true chocolate lovers who are interesting in tasting small samples, and buying from the vendors.

Entertainment is also on the agenda at the Chocolate Expo 2018, which is scheduled for 10:00 am until 7:00 pm this Sunday, March 4 at the Cradle of Aviation Museum located in Garden City, New York.

Events like this can be easier for attendees if organizers work with a flyer printing company to create a handout listing the vendors and entertainers.
