Glorious mud to spell Tacoma fun

March 19, 2014 by

In an upcoming race in Tacoma, guests will be encountering miles of mud, obstacles, trail running, and some seriously fun adventures.

The Miles of Mud Race is a two-mile course and will take place on the trails located near Titlow Park, and away from the usual city sidewalks and streets.

The people who organized this event might have selected poster printing and banner printing to encourage residents of this community and people in the surrounding areas to participate in the frolics.

There is a fun run, which will begin at noon, with the main race to follow in the afternoon, depending on the weather and how much mud there is. The race will take place in the afternoon along dirty, sloppy, and dusty trails and create a messy good time for all. Some of the obstacles guests will encounter including fire jumping, wire leaping, belly crawling, mud tromping, and log climbing, although all obstacles are optional.

The race is being chip-timed, and staggered times will be used. A water station will be provided for drinking and clean-up at the end of the race.

The cost to participate is $25 if pre-registered in advance and $35 the day of the race, and includes a towel. The Miles of Mud Race will be happening on Sunday, March 23, starting at 12pm, with check in an hour earlier behind the Lodge at the Tilton Park Lodge in Tacoma, Washington. To register, visit the Metro Parks Tacoma website or call 253-305-1022.
