Green Elephant Plant Swap to trumpet in this weekend

February 27, 2013 by

Everyone has been invited to attend the Green Elephant Plant Swap, now in its tenth year of operation and providing avid gardeners with fun and information, no matter what the weather is doing outside.

With spring quickly approaching, many gardeners are starting to think about their spring and summer planting options, so now is a great time to enjoy this event. Poster printing was likely used to advertise this fun gardening event towards residents in the community.

Although the weather outside is chilly and it still does not feel like spring will be along anytime soon, many avid gardeners already have preparation plans in mind for the early planting season. During the cooler month of March, many of the more dormant plants should be divided and moved to new locations to keep them from overcrowding each other during the warmer months.

While this event is going on, guests are invited to bring along last year’s favorite annual seeds to trade for other favorites by people who wish to swap too – ideal for those whose neighbors grew too much of one flower that they were unable to grow at all.

Admission to this event is free and people of all ages are invited to attend and share. The Green Elephant Plant Swap will be happening this Saturday, March 2, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Church of the Holy Cross in Redmond. To learn more, visit the Holy Cross Redmond website’s Green Elephant Plant Swap page or call 425-223-7249.
