Seminar to give keys to job-seeking success

March 23, 2013 by

The public is invited to attend the local job club to add a set of new employment search tools to their arsenal for job searching this spring.

This seminar is intended to eliminate the various barriers that exist when it comes to employment, and has been designed to cater for all age groups. Poster printing by local print companies may have been the method chosen by the organizers to promote this activity to people in this area, and those job-hunters who rate their entrepreneurial skills might want to take some digital business cards along.

For those already collecting unemployment, this seminar qualifies and can be added to the weekly job search log. At this session, participants will learn how to overcome the obstacles to employment by resourcing and learning job search techniques, revamping their resumes, and picking up new placement and interview skills.

Guests will have the opportunity to network with employers from this area, other people who are looking for jobs, and a number of community resource partners to ensure that, when they begin or resume their job search, all their skills and documents are bang up to date. This seminar is being filled on a ‘first come first served’ basis and no registration is required.

Titled ‘Job Search to Success’, it will be held on Monday, April 1, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Puyallup Public Library located at 324 South Meridian Street in Puyallup, Washington. To learn more, please visit the Job Club website or call Marcea Horst at 253-841-5454 during business hours.
