Kent festival of youth programs targets hunger

January 18, 2014 by

The 4th annual You Me We festival is taking place this January. It is a presentation of Kent Commons, Youth and Teen Programs and guests are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items for the Kent Food Bank.

There will be a variety of activities taking place for those of all ages, this will include games, face painting, bounce houses, raffles and contests. Hot dogs and soda will be also available for sale for $1 each. In addition, there are expected to be several interactive booths that will provide a variety of children’s activities.

The event is also set to feature booths from organizations that provide youth and teen programs, community resources, job and career information, volunteer opportunities, internships and representatives from area multi cultural centers. There are still spaces available for more exhibitors to sign up for You Me We.

The aim of the festival is to let youth, teens and their families know what kinds of programs and services are available to them in the city.

Many of the exhibitors may decide to invest in services from Kent printing companies. This may include sign or banner printing to make their booths look more attractive to those in attendance.

You Me We is taking place at the Sho Ware Center on January 24 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Admission is free. To find out more information about the event, or to register as an exhibitor, contact Julie Stangle at 253-856-5030.
