Puppet performance to string Saturday along

Tomorrow’s Puppets Please Marionettes Variety Show will feature special characters, lots of singing and dancing, and even some roller skating. This is a great family event geared at children, for which poster printing may have been used to grab the attention of parents in the community. These adorable characters are delightful to watch.

Puppets Please is highly original and consists of the professional marionettes created by a mother and daughter team, Shirley and Terry McManus. These marionettes are handcrafted and perform in a round platform, which involves having the children seated on the floor in a circular style, instead of a cold and impersonal stage above them. Each performance lasts between 30 and 35 minutes and is filled with great personalities and surprising events that will have the children laughing on the floor.

The marionettes may even come close and nibble on the children’s shoes and always chat face to hand with the children. Children always enjoy it when the bear hugs begin and the marionettes jump onto their laps, not to mention the odd doggy breath experience. Children will have a great time, so parents are reminded to bring their cameras and get some great shots.

Admission to this event is free, so it is a great change to enjoy all the fun. The Puppets Please Marionettes Variety Show is to take place tomorrow, January 19, at 2:00 pm at the Everett Public Library, Main Library Auditorium, located at 2702 Hoyt Avenue in Everett, Washington.
