Newly set-up market lets locals eat fresh

The new Farms & Market in Everett offers fresh grown produce year round. Located on 2900 Grand St., the market is open seven days a week.

The restaurant and market connects local farmers to customers, and features what is growing in season by local farmers. It makes up part of the Grand Avenue Marketplace.

Speaking to HeraldNet.com, General Manager Alicia Munro says she has been working on the concept of Farms & Market for over three years. It provides a more leisurely experience for customers than the outdoor seasonal market on the waterfront.

The market gives farmers a place to sell their produce seven days a week. They can lease or rent a stand inside the market selling fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, and locally made products. Meanwhile, the café uses local produce in their menu regularly.

Over nine local farms are leasing space to sell their products. They sell natural cheese, dairy, butter, fresh oysters, fresh cut flowers, pickles, honey, five types of blueberries, eggs, strawberries, figs, chocolates, and personal care products.

The deli offers a variety of vegetarian and meat dishes. It has soups, sandwiches, sandwiches, craft beer, and wine. The market sells succulents and air plants. Customers can sit outside in good weather.

Everett has print shops with graphic design services that can help design menus and promotional material for all kinds of farm-to-fork associations.
