Parents offered February puppet show in Orem

February 5, 2014 by

The SCERA Center in downtown Orem will offer a puppet show later this month, which promises to be great family fun and will be playing to audience members of all ages.

The puppeteer for the February show, as usual, has not been announced yet – allowing for the element of surprise on the day of the show.

Puppet shows are something of a tradition at SCERA Center as part of its dedication to the development and advancement of arts and culture. The Center offers puppet shows each month and occasionally workshops on puppetry, puppet construction, and puppet history. Each spring, a festival is held as well, with the goal of promoting self-expression through the use of puppets.

Since puppet events offer a great opportunity for family bonding and imitation at home, some may wish to visit a local print company for banner printing in order to decorating or promoting staged family events.

The February puppet show will be held at the SCERA Center—Showhouse II Theater, 745 South State Street, Orem, UT— on Saturday February 15 at 11am. It should run approximately 45 minutes. Tickets are $3 (those under the ages of three get in free). Attendees may want to allow a little more time for children to interact with the puppeteer or some of the other children after the show.
