Tualatin immerses itself in stories

‘The Storytelling Festival: Art of the Story’ is the 10th annual festival being hosted by the WCCLS and features a full week of readings by five professional storytellers. This is an adult-based performance, although there are other shows for younger audiences.

The WCCLS might have used brochure printing and poster printing services to share the information about this function with people located in this community, as well as around the area.

During this event, people will enjoy a community story swap and two workshops focusing on various storytelling themes. Some of the performers are local, while others come from further afield. The guests are Habiba Addo, Bil Lepp, Olga Loya, Alton Takiyama-Chung, and Will Hornyak.

Wrapping us the week will be a reception with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar. The ‘Finale Concert’ brings all the storytellers together in a great closing event. A complete list of the week’s events can be found online.

The Storytelling Festival is free to attend and will be happening from Saturday, April 5, until Saturday, April 12, at the Tualatin Public Library located at 18878 South West Martinazzi Avenue in Tualatin, Oregon, a short ride from Tigard. To learn more, or to register, please visit the WCCLS website or call 503-846-3222. Please note that registration must be completed at least three days before the event starts.
