Sweet treat ahead this weekend

January 24, 2014 by

In Portland, the Chocolate Fest this weekend is providing guests with the opportunity to sample some of the best chocolate in their area, enjoy some special discounted drink beverages, and meet the renowned Sophia Lyn, the Chocolate Fest Girl for 2014, as well as take part in a vote on Best in Show. Flyer printing might have been used to promote this year’s Chocolate Fest to people in this community, as well as those in the surrounding area.

This year, guests are invited to attend the opening premiere party this evening and enjoy an ultimate chocolate happy hour from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, featuring the music of Patrick Lamb, a free wine glass to the first 500 who arrive, special discounted drinks, a complimentary bag from the good people at Scharffen Berger.

This event is sponsored by the World Forestry Center and is a fundraising initiative to benefit their educational programming, which teaches people about the world’s trees, forests, and environmental sustainability. This is a three-day event with each day offering new and exciting specials, speakers, and seminars. Perhaps the highlight of this festival is the opportunity to vote on the best chocolate maker in the show.

Tickets cost $12 per adult, $10 per senior aged 62+, $8 per student, and $7 per child between the ages of 5 and 12. It will be happening from this evening until Sunday, January 26 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, just down the road from Tigard.
