The Portland Veg Fest is returning to the city for two days next month, hosted by Northwest VEG.

There are expected to be over 100 exhibitors on hand to showcase and sell a variety of items, including food. Nonprofit organizations will also be on hand to provide information to the public about their programs and services. Most of the exhibitors will be handing out free samples.

There will be plenty of activities that will appeal to every member of the family, such as fitness stage workouts, cooking demonstrations in the Pear Room, film screenings, and a Senior Living table. Guests can also pick up some cookbooks in the bookstore, and there will also be a variety of children’s and teen activities.

Speakers will be on hand to talk about all aspects of living a vegan lifestyle. Topics are set to include ‘Growing up vegan’ and affordable steps to becoming vegan. This year’s speakers include Sara Amundson, Velonda Anderson, and Ramses Bravo.

A Portland poster printing firm may be asked to produce an item that can be used in advertising.

The Portland Veg Fest will be held at the Oregon Convention Center from October 14 to 15. Tickets for adults are $10 each day or $17 for both days, or $7 and $12 for students and seniors. Call 503-746-8344 to learn more.
