Artists Create a Better World Celebration

April 23, 2012 by

On Saturday, April 28, the Holy Names Heritage Center will be hosting the “Artists Creating a Better World Celebration” at their location 17425 Holy Names Drive in Lake Owego, Oregon. This event will start at 2 pm and run until 8pm.

The Artists Create a Better World Celebration will offer guests a wide array of crafts and products that include everything from beauty products and bath crystals to original art and handmade jewelry. This year’s event has more than thirty talented artisans from the local area selling their wares in a gorgeous patio and garden setting as part of the Mothers’ Day celebration hosted each year by the community. This is a sun event only and will be rescheduled due to rain. At this event, a mom’s café will offer coffee, tea, homemade biscuits, cookies, pastries and much more, all aimed at spoiling our mothers.

The great thing about this event is that a portion of the proceeds from this day will be donated to Christie School, which resides on the campus where the event is being held. This school does special work with people and requires additional support for its programs to continue. Donations from a portion of the item sales will go towards the Women’s Shelters in the Portland area to assist less fortunate mothers who require help.

Artists looking to network with other artists still have just enough time to consult a local print shop regarding business card printing. This is a free event and all ages are welcome. For more information on this event please visit the Artists Creating a Better World Celebration page on Facebook or call the Holy Names Heritage Center.
