Oregon City luncheon shows support for local assistance group

October 22, 2012 by

The 11th Annual Harvest of Hope Luncheon has been named ‘Putting the Pieces Together’ this year and is a fundraising event designed to benefit the Clackamas Women’s Services. This group assists women who have suffered from sexual violence and domestic abuse, helping them to become self-sufficient and live lives free of violence.

This special luncheon event will kick off with a reception, with plenty of networking opportunities, and will then be followed by a light lunch and a special program. During the reception, there will be a raffle held, with tickets priced at $5 each or six for $20. The items that are being raffled off to raise funds include a quilted table runner, a stunning handmade quilt, a decorative fall centerpiece, a ‘night at the movies’ basket with goodies, and a tea-time basket complete with a quilted cozy and everything else needed to enjoy tea. All in all, ‘Putting the Pieces Together’ is shaping up to be a great way to support a local community group.

Poster printing and postcard printing are methods that may have been put into use to advertise and promote this event to the local community. Admission is free but the organizers are hoping for donations.

The 11th Annual Harvest of Hope Luncheon will be taking place tomorrow, October 24, from 11:15 am to 1:00 pm at the Abernethy Center, located at 606 15th Street in Oregon City, Oregon.
