Medford fun gets on the right track

A train ride opportunity, operated by the National Railway Historical Society’s South Oregon chapter, has recently whooshed into Medford.

Families are invited to come out, rain or shine, and enjoy a railway trip like no other on the Free Miniature Train Rides, with a number of additional features well worth exploring. Brochure printing, banner printing, and poster printing may have been used to let the families in this area know about the special railway rides available.

The railway park is operated by a number of groups, including the Rogue Valley Model Railway Club, the Morse Telegraph Club, and the Southern Oregon Live Steamers. The park enables guests to view full-size cards, a hopper car, HO Scale Track/Trains within the clubhouse, a Medco’s ‘Four Spot’, a Willamette Locomotive, and a functional telegraph system that can receive and send messages throughout the park.

There is also an outdoor operating garden railway. Guests are reminded that this event happens regardless of the weather and to dress appropriately. It promises to be a great way to see how the historic railways operate and a fun opportunity to learn all about the various organizations involved.

Rides are free to everyone, no matter what their age group. They will run every day until October 27, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Medford Railroad Park located at Berrydale Avenue and Table Rock Road in Medford, Oregon. To learn more, visit the Free Miniature Train Rides website or call 541-621-5337 during business hours.
