Fort Collins all at sea with November performance

Next month, ‘The Seafarer’ is being presented by OpenStage Theatre and Company, offering a story for mature audiences about the dysfunctional relations in life.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to make news of this production available in this community. A dark comic fable, it is sponsored by KRFC FM 88.9.

The setting for the play is a worn-down apartment on Christmas Eve at the edge of Dublin. Richard and Sharky, two brothers, have friends round and one of them suggests celebrating with a game of poker and spirits. As it turns out, the stakes of this poker game are extremely high.

Sharky, who has an ominous past, casts a dark shadow throughout this riveting storyline, which moves between deep suspense and cunning humor. The Seafarer examines a world where five individual men attempt to cope with difficult relationships, often turning to alcohol to do so. The play was written by Conor McPherson and is directed by Matthew G. Smith.

Ticket prices vary between $18 and $28 depending on the seating selection and performance chosen. The play will be performed on weekends throughout November at the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theatre located at 417 W Magnolia Street in Fort Collins, Colorado.
