Broomfield event to explore cancer care in Colorado

September 22, 2017 by

Cancer care in Colorado will be the theme of a symposium that will soon be taking place near Broomfield, and anyone with an interest in the field is invited to attend.

The Colorado Cancer Coalition will be bringing an event to the community that will focus on the different cancer care options that exist in the state, research into new treatments and cures, and also what steps a person can take to help prevent them from developing the disease in the first place.

The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Wendy S. Harpham, who is both a physician and cancer survivor. She is also an advocate for those living with the disease, as well as their families and caregivers.

Those who will be staying in the area to participate in the event will be offered a discounted rate at the Double Tree by Hilton Westminster. The ticket prices start at $150 for general registration, $85 for student registration and $25 for patients and caregivers. There will also be two free evening receptions. A local printer will be able to supply an assortment of swag, including promotional drinkware, that can be given out during an event like this.

The conference will run from October 18 until October 20 in the Double Tree by Hilton Denver-Westminster, and more information can be found on its website.
