Broomfield area to celebrate with Garden Tour

June 13, 2017 by

The spring showers have brought summer flowers in Broomfield, and its residents have been offered an invitation to tour some of the area’s gardens.

The Arvada Garden Tour, a self-directed activity, will see the public visit seven of its gardens to view the flowers, greenery and other landscaping. Those who take part will arrive at the Arvada Center, where they can obtain their tickets and receive a map that also provides further information about each of the properties on the tour. They can then visit them in the order they wish, and gardeners will be on-site to answer questions and share tips and advice. Digital copying can be utilized to produce copies of the route map for those taking part in a day such as this.

The day will begin at 8:30 am, and will wind up at 1:00 pm. Decorated birdhouses will be available for purchase at one of the gardens. Those who plan on participating are reminded to dress appropriately, and also asked to keep in mind that strollers and pets are not permitted in the gardens. The ticket price will be $15.00, and the funds raised will be utilized by the local Historical Society to help preserve the community’s rich history and make it more accessible to all.

The garden tour will set out from the Arvada Center, which can be found at 6901 Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada. Further details can be found on the Broomfield Enterprise website.
