Professional Development Lunch takes place in two weeks

July 3, 2012 by

With both a development lunch and another excellent workshop coming up, it is obvious that the Boulder Chamber of Commerce has big plans for the month of July.

Things start off strong on July 18 with the chamber hosting a Professional Development Lunch at the Zolo Grill. During his presentation of “Coworking for Creative Minds”, guest speaker Tony Krout will be talking about Scrib. Geared primarily towards business owners, independent contractors, and those who are just getting started with their companies, Scrib is a place where professionals can accomplish more. Whether trying to come up with a new marketing concept or sorting out the logistics of choosing between different brochure printers, this is a workplace which allows entrepreneurs to sit down and figure out their best options. Beginning at 11:30 am and continuing until 1:00 pm, this luncheon is one for which to keep an eye out.

A little over a week later, on July 25, the Small Business Development Center will be hosting yet another installment of its Small Business Development series. As most business owners are already aware, there is more to getting set-up than putting out a sign and taking customers. Once again aiming to cover a range of important issues, including trade name registration and the process of shielding business owners from liability, this workshop is expected to last a full three and a half hours from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Being hosted by a practicing lawyer in Theresa Pickner, experienced and aspiring business owners alike stand to gain quite a bit from showing up here.
