Wauwatosa art fair to showcase local talent

July 23, 2017 by

Art lovers from the local area and further afield as well may wish to save the date for an event that will showcase the talents of more than 75 artists.

This will be the 31st year for the Firefly Art Fair, which gives the public an opportunity to see and appreciate the juried works of the local artistic community. Along with these pieces, those who come out will be able to enjoy live entertainment, as well as food, beverages, and more.

The show, which is hosted by the Wauwatosa Historical Society, will have a special exhibit that centers on the theme of children’s pastimes. To help ensure the event goes off as smoothly as possible, the organizers are interested in hearing from anyone who would like to lend a helping hand by volunteering during the show. An area printing services provider can supply an occasion such as this with everything from T-shirts and name tag lanyards for the staff and volunteers, to an assortment of branded promotional products.

The Firefly Art Fair, which is being brought to the area in part through the support of Firefly Real Estate and the WaterStone Bank, has been planned for August 5 and 6 at the Kneeland Walker House and Gardens. The ticket price has been set at $5, and further details can be found on the historical society’s website.
