Fun run, walk and roll planned for Wauwatosa

August 20, 2016 by

Wauwatosa’s Hark Park will be playing host to an event that its organizers hope will be both fun and informative, while raising money for a not-for-profit group.

Joe’s Run, Walk and Roll will see those who come out enjoy a 5k long fun run, or they can choose to take part in a walk or wheelchair roll of 1, 2, or 3k. Following this, there will be a variety of festivities to enjoy, including entertainment, raffles, and food. The event is all in support of Broadscope Disability Services, which provides both assistance and opportunities to those who are disabled and also their families.

A part of the celebration that has been added for this year is the option to carry a star shaped Mylar balloon in honor of a loved one. Wide format printing can be used to create banners and other items for events such as this.

The registration fee for the event has been set at $25, which includes both a T-shirt and sunglasses. The registration fee for those who do so as part of a team or family of four or more is $20.00, which also include the shirt and glasses. Children under two are welcome to participate, free of charge. It has been scheduled for September 24 in Hark Park.

Further details about Joe’s Run, Walk and Roll, and also an opportunity to sign up to participate, can be found on its website.
