CP Holiday Train set to roll into Wauwatosa

November 21, 2016 by

Wauwatosa will once again be playing host to what has been called ‘North America’s longest rolling food bank’.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday train will be rolling in to town, with its cars brightly light with an array of lights and colors. Wauwatosa will be one of the 12 stops it will be making in the state, and at each, one of the cars will be converted into an impromptu stage, and the public will be treated to a live music performance by Colin James and Kelly Prescott.

The organizers of the event hope that the people who come out to enjoy the evening will continue with their tradition of generosity and bring along donations of nonperishable food items or funds for the local food bank.

Since the train first hit the tracks in 1999, more than 3.9 million pounds of food and $12 million have been collected for those in need. Mailing services can be utilized to let everyone in the community know when an event like this is taking place so that it can be as much of a success as possible.

The CP Holiday Train will arrive at the Harwood Avenue Crossing in Wauwatosa on December 6 at 4:45 pm. People are encouraged to arrive early so that they don’t miss any of the fun.

Further details are available on the CP Holiday Train website.
