Cooking classes on the menu for aspiring Wauwatosa chefs

October 8, 2017 by

Young Wauwatosa folks who are handy in the kitchen have been invited to learn the basics of cookery during a ‘kids only” cooking program planned for the community.

Parents can bring their son or daughter to the Little Chefs Academy to register them to take part, and once they do, they will receive a punch card. Each child who participates in at least eight of the different workshops that will be offered as a part of the initiative will be able to graduate from the academy, and they will also be invited to a special ceremony where they will be given a Maggiano’s Chef Jacket of their very own to mark the occasion.

The event will kick off with a brunch buffet, and the students will then work with a trained chef to prepare both pancakes and make a harvest-themed autumn craft to take home with them. The session will run from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, and it is open to children between the ages of 5 to 12. A printing services provider will be able to supply branded apparel that can be used during a program such as this.

This kids only cooking class will be held on November 18 in Maggiano’s Little Italy, and the registration fee will be $25. More information can be obtained by contacting the organizers by calling 414-978-1020.
