Wall Township reaches out to young techies

The winter holiday break will soon be here for kids in Wall Township, and an area academy is offering computer-related activities that can keep them entertained during their time off.

STEM+Academy has scheduled two offerings for children who are interested in science and technology. The first will be Minecraft Madness, which will give both those who are new to the game and those already familiar with it an opportunity to hone their skills.

The second is a holiday minicamp with four different options. Participants can choose between coding, Minecraft, robotics, and chess. Each of these course sessions is one hour long, and students can opt to take anything from just one course to all four. A printer will be able to provide an assortment of promotional products that can help a business such as this market the programs it offers throughout the local area.

Minecraft Madness will be held from December 9 until 23, and is suitable for those from kindergarten to grade eight. The minicamps will run from December 27 to December 30, and are geared to those from grades one to eight. They will be held at the STEM+ Academy, which is located at 529 Bay Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach.

More information, including prices for the activities and an opportunity to register, can be found on the academy’s website.
