Autism parenting workshops planned for Vero Beach area

October 27, 2016 by

Vero Beach parents who have a child on the autism spectrum are invited to participate in an event that will help them foster developmental growth in their son or daughter.

The Little Owls 2 Day Parent Training workshop will teach parents a range of skills, including how to promote social engagement and communication in their child, understanding the different types of therapies that are available and which is the best fit for their particular situation, and how to keep the child with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) safe. Support for parents or caregivers will also be highlighted during the sessions.

There is no cost to participate in the workshops, and they will be facilitated by experts in the field of early intervention and education. A company that provides marketing services can create an assortment of effective promotional tools that advertise workshops like this in the local community.

The training sessions will be held on January 13, 27, and February 3 at the Parent Academy of St. Lucie in Fort Pierce, which can be found at county 2940, South U.S. Highway. A limited number of spaces are available, so the organizers suggest that those who are interested sign up as soon as possible.

Further details and an opportunity to register for the Little Owls Early Intervention Initiative are available on the website that has been set up for the event.
