Tempe event to showcase rosé wine

July 20, 2017 by

Tempe residents are invited to come to an event that will explore rosé wine and its growing popularity.

House of Tricks will serve as the venue for an event that will shine a spotlight on this beloved beverage. Guests speaker Eric Husti will be on hand to lead the discussion, and those who attend will learn about where and how this variety of wine is crafted, as well as the different styles of it that can be found on the market.

The organizers of the occasion noted that seating is limited, and the $33.00 ticket price includes a chance to sample several pours, as well as varietals, and each person will also be served a plate of cheese and fruit to accompany their tastings. People can also choose to stay and enjoy a full meal, and those who do will each be given a discount on their food and wine purchases. An area stationery printing company can be called upon to supply printed menus and other information about the wines served during a tasting event such as this, perhaps advising drinkers on where they can be bought.

Dedicated to showcasing rosé wine and its different flavors, the event has been planned for Thursday, August 24 in Tempe’s House of Tricks. Further details can be found by going to the event’s website.

Tempe to mark July 4th with huge community celebration

May 16, 2017 by

The community of Tempe will soon be coming together in the annual Tempe Town Lake Festival, and the organizers have issued an invitation to one and all to join in the fun.

The event will feature an assortment of activities, which will be topped off by a fireworks show that, according to its planners, will be the best of its kind in metro Phoenix. There will be traditional picnic favorites to enjoy such as hot dogs and other barbecued foods, as well as shaved ice, fried bread, and ice cream.

Local bands will provide the entertainment for the evening, and there will be an area of free bouncy castles and other inflatables for the kids. Adults can browse through the vendor section, and some surprises have been planned for the occasion as well.

All of this will be taking place in Tempe Beach Park, and those who plan on attending are reminded to bring along their filled picnic baskets and blankets to sit on, and be ready to enjoy an evening with their friends and neighbors. Flyers can be used to effectively promote an event such as this throughout the local area, which can help to ensure that it is a success.

July 4 itself has been selected as the date for this community-based celebration. Additional information has been provided on the Tempe Tourism website.

The city of Tempe is about to get geeky

February 10, 2017 by

Geeks from Tempe and the surrounding communities are invited to an event that has been planned with them in mind.

Through a partnership with the Arizona SciTech Festival, the city will be hosting its ninth annual Geeks Night Out. Participants in this family friendly occasion will be able to enjoy a variety of hands-on activities related to math, science, technology, arts, and engineering.

According to the organizers, if last year’s event was any indication, this year should be exciting for all. Schools, businesses, and organizations, especially ones that are involved in the sciences, are invited to set up a booth or display, and the planners have provided them with a list of guidelines and tips that they can use to ensure their contribution to the night will be a success. Those who plan on taking part are reminded that it will be a “bring your own booth” function, but there will be limited resources at the venue. Banner printing can be used by exhibitors to produce banners, signs and other materials they can use to decorate their display.

The Tempe Community Complex will serve as the location for the evening, which will take place on March 2. It is being offered free of charge, and anyone who is interested in participating or who just wishes to find out more is invited to visit its website.
