Rodeo rides into Greensboro this summer

June 23, 2018 by

The Southeastern Rodeo Association Heritage Rodeo is taking place next month in Greensboro. The event was originally scheduled to take place on June 2.

The Association is dedicated to remembering the cowboy and cowgirl history of African-Americans. When the organization promotes African-American riders, anyone is free to enter.

There is $10,000 in prize money up for grabs at the rodeo. There will be a number of events taking place, including bull riding, bareback riding, team roping, steer wrestling, calf roping, and barrel racing. There will also be several events for women, including steer undecorating and junior barrel racing. No doubt there will be something to appeal to everyone attending this evening event and guests will probably have the opportunity to get up close to the cowboys and their horses.

Tickets for the rodeo range in price from $22.50 to $42.50 depending on where the seats are located in the arena.

It is likely that many Greensboro residents will be excited to learn about this event, and may have found out about it from posters provided by a local poster printing firm.

The Southeastern Rodeo Association Heritage Rodeo will be held at Greensboro Coliseum on July 28 beginning at 7:30 PM. For more information about this event or about the Southeastern Rodeo Association, contact Todd Morris at 205-266-7220.
