Schedule set for annual auto show in Ambler

May 7, 2018 by

The organizers of the 22nd Annual Ambler Auto Show at Butler Avenue promise an event that is better than ever.

The Ambler auto show is known as the ‘The Best Little Car Show Around’ and it is the destination for car fans that want to see what their community has to offer.

Butler Avenue closes off to traffic during the event so that the vehicles and owners can enjoy the day. Many business owners on the avenue keep their doors open for shoppers and diners. Food trucks are also available.

The family-friendly event is open to all makes, models, and years of vehicles. Hundreds of classic cars are expected for the event and prizes are awarded in several categories. It is an opportunity to gain more attention for businesses, who could print up business cards and register for the event for $15 per vehicle.

The awards available are The Top 50, with an award given to each of the participants who receives the most votes. The Major Sponsor Award allows all the largest sponsors to present an award to the vehicle of their choice. The Al Whitcomb trophy is given to the vehicle chosen as Best in Show, while the memorial award is named after the founder of the event.

The auto show takes place on Saturday, May 19 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Butler Avenue in downtown Ambler. There is no admission fee to come and view the cars. All entrants with vehicles in the show receive a participant commemorative dash plaque.
