Braintree market to open with wealth of products

June 12, 2014 by

Starting this weekend and continuing until the fall, the Braintree Farmers Market is to be held every Saturday at the Braintree Town Hall Mall.

Among the goods to be featured at the market will be fruits and vegetables grown at CN Smith Farm in East Bridgewater, hormone free and antibiotic meats from J.H. Beaulieu Livestock and Produce Farm, and offerings from Fresh Catch Seafood.

Specialist vendors will also be on hand to offer exotic mushrooms, gourmet cupcakes, a range of bread and dairy products from Lawton’s Family Farm, hand-made pastas, and locally-sourced teas and coffees.

The opening day is Saturday June 14 and it will take place rain or shine. Images on the market’s website show that it is being promoted throughout the town by utilizing banner printing to create items used to advertise the weekly event and attract people from the town and surrounding areas.

On June 21, the market will be hosting a Strawberry Festival, with fresh local strawberries and shortcake made to order by Homestyle Caterers; one of the Market’s vendors. Strawberries will be the theme of products made by the various vendors. The Events Tent will have tables and chairs for people to enjoy their selections, which they can purchase to take home as well.

The market will run until October 25 every Saturday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
