Morning of environmental action on offer near East Haven

May 6, 2018 by

An East Haven area beach is in need of a helping hand this summer to aid in keeping it clean, and the public has been asked to play their part in this morning of hands-on environmental action.

Hammonasset Beach State Park will be the beneficiary of this effort, and all of the supplies needed to ensure the shoreline is cleared of litter will be provided. The event is set to run for two hours, and along with the satisfaction of doing a good turn for the environment, the participants will be welcome to stay and have fun in the sand and surf after the cleanup is over.

Anyone who would like to take part is reminded to come dressed for the task and wear a pair of sunglasses and jacket. It’s also recommended that they bring along a water bottle. To thank them for their assistance, those who register ahead of time will receive a specially designed beach cleanup T-shirt. Promotional products such as these can be sourced from a printer that offers graphic design services.

This opportunity to lend the local environment a helping hand will be held on July 7 at 1288 Boston Post Road in Madison. Parking will be offered free of charge during the activity for anyone who has a CT license plate on their vehicle.
