Baraboo invited to attend a night of creativity

Aspiring Baraboo artists who would like to improve their existing charcoal drawing skills, as well as those who are just looking for a new and different way to spend an evening may wish to save the date for an upcoming event.

Artist Robert Gorder will be hosting a workshop that will see even those who have no previous experience with using this medium craft their own version of ‘The Lilly’ to take home with them. Each person who participates will be given the materials, including a protective sleeve and matte, and will receive step-by-step instructions. The admission fee includes refreshments, and there will also be a drawing for a free ticket for entry into another activity organized by the host.

The admission price for the night will be $30 each, which includes the materials, instruction, and refreshments. Those who will be attending are asked to arrive 20 minutes early so that they can get settled in and will be ready to create when the workshop begins. Graphic design can be used to put together an assortment of flyers and other marketing materials for a locally based event such as this.

This evening of artistry will be held on November 13 at 630 West Pine Street. Everyone is welcome, and more information can be found by contacting the organizer through its website.

Baraboo’s Fair on the Square to offer fun for one and all

The community of Baraboo will be welcoming the arrival of spring with a special event designed to bring neighbors together in a spirit of fun.

The Fair if the Square celebration will offer something for everyone, no matter what their age may be. Live performers, ranging from musicians to children’s entertainers, self-defense demonstrations and much more, will take to the stage to entertain the crowd. There will also be activities for the kids such as bouncy castles and face painting, food produced by local eateries to sample and more than 150 different artisans and crafters will be display their works for sale. Along with all of this, the public can come and browse through the farmers’ market and enjoy a relaxing day getting together with other community members.

The organizers of the event expressed that they wished to thank the sponsors from the local area who gave their support to the fair. A stationery printing company can supply those who plan an event such as this with personalized certificates of appreciation and other customized items to give to the businesses and organizations that help to make a day like this a success.
