Sioux Falls to welcome famous comedian and actor

April 17, 2018 by

Movie legend, television star, and comedian Tim Allen is on his way to Sioux Falls, bringing his outrageous stand-up comedy routine with him. He will appear at the Washington Pavilion later this year.

Allen has starred in a number of projects, most recently ‘Last Man Standing’, the television series he starred in and produced for ABC. The show broadcast more than 100 episodes. Prior to that, he starred in films like ‘Galaxy Quest’, ‘The Santa Clause’, and ‘Toy Story’, and reprised his role in ‘Toy Story 3’, voicing the character of Buzz Lightyear.

An international superstar, Allen started out doing stand-up comedy in the 1980s, which led him to the successful television series ‘Home Improvement’. The show earned him an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe Award. He also won the People’s Choice Award as ‘Favorite Male Performer in a Television Series’ a record-breaking eight consecutive years.

In addition to a powerhouse acting career, Allen is also a writer, director, producer, and best-selling author.

Allen will appear at 8:00 pm on August 11. Tickets are already on sale, and are available at the box office of the Washington Pavilion by calling (605) 367-6000, or at the venue’s website. Due to adult content, no one under 18 will be admitted.

Events like this can be even more enjoyable if organizers work with a flyer printing company to create a handout that includes programs notes and a biography.

Annual show kicks off the holidays in Sioux Falls

October 27, 2014 by

The Holiday Sioux Empire Arts and Craft Show is being held for two days this November in Sioux Falls.

This is a juried show and is set to feature more than140 booths. Vendors will be selling a variety of handmade arts and crafts, holiday decorations, furniture, toys, and homeware items. To keep the crowds entertained, there will be holiday music, entertainment, and food and beverages for purchase. According to the website of Black Inc., which is marketing the event, in excess of 7,000 shoppers tend to make an appearance at this event.

The event will give many artisans in the area the opportunity to showcase their works and possibly earn new commissions from those who take a liking to their handicrafts. Vendors will be able network amongst themselves during the day as well and add to their referral lists.

Sioux Falls banner printing companies might find they are getting an increase in orders from people who plan to participate in the show. A colorful banner hung over a booth or a table can help to attract more visitors and therefore increase sales.

The Holiday Sioux Empire Arts and Crafts Show is taking place at the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds from November 7 to 8. Admission is $4 per person. To find out more about the show, call 605-367-7178 or 605-332-6000.
