Eclipse viewing events today across Missouri

August 21, 2017 by

Residents from Kansas City to Manchester, Missouri, will be able to experience the solar eclipse later this month as over 627 communities lie in the path of totality.
Thanks to the solar eclipse, there will be several viewing events that will be taking place throughout Missouri during the eclipse. Some of these events include the Party in the Path at the Innsbrook Resort, the Total Eclipse of the Trail at Trail’s End Landmark, and the Northwest Missouri Steam & Engine Gas Show. These events will typically have food, games, music, and complimentary glasses for visitors to use so that they may see the eclipse safely.

Many of these events will be running from late morning until early afternoon and have limited amounts of seating and space so it is recommended that those who wish to attend these events should make reservations as soon as possible. Also, it has been stated that high traffic levels and large crowds are to be expected as a result of tourists flocking to see the eclipse in other states.

For the full list of towns and cities in Missouri that will be able to experience a total solar eclipse on August 21st, visit the Eclipse 2017 website. For more information regarding the solar eclipse and to view resources such as maps, fact sheets, and brochures, visit the Eclipse 2017 NASA website.
