McHenry shopping center changes hands for $32m

The Mid-America Real Estate Corporation, a corporation that consists of a collection of five real estate companies in the Midwest, recently arranged for the sale of The Shops at Fox River, a large shopping center located in McHenry, Illinois.

The Shops at Fox River is a 340,849-square-foot building that currently houses stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond, Sally Beauty Supply, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The shopping center itself was constructed in 2007 and currently has six vacant buildings left. Two agents from the Mid-America Real Estate Corporation, Carly Gallagher and Ben Wineman, made the sale on behalf of the Public REIT to Time Equities for $32m.

Along with The Shops at Fox River, Time Equities now owns several properties across the state of Illinois including The Shoppes at Belford Park, an L.A. Fitness franchise building in Joliet, and another shopping plaza stationed in Chicago. For a full list of all the properties owned by this company, visit its website.
