New swimming pool set to make a splash

Residents of Murrieta, California will be able to use the California Oaks Sports Park Pool this month for water exercises and lap swimming as part of the teen and adult programs now available.

The pool opens on Tuesday, September 5 and remains open until September 29 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:15 pm to 9:00 pm. The water exercise classes run from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm and the lap swimming events will be taking place from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

For those who plan to attend the water exercise classes, admission to the pool will cost $3 for a resident and $5 for a nonresident. For those who plan on attending the lap swimming events, admission to the pool will cost $2 for a resident and $3 for a nonresident.

Membership passes can be purchased as well for those who are going to be visiting the swimming pool frequently. Water exercise class membership passes cost $20 for a resident and $40 for a nonresident and give buyers 10 visits to the pool. Lap swimming membership cards cost the same price as the water exercise membership classes but give buyers 20 visits to the pool.

Budget retailer coming to Murrieta

Five Below, a bargain store that sells a variety of products such as backpacks, bubbles, and birthday banners for $5 or less, will be soon hosting several events for residents of Murrieta, California in honor of its upcoming opening.

The first event is one in which the first 100 people who show up and stand in line at the Five Below location will receive a scratch-off ticket, which may have a prize of up to $100. This first event will be taking place on opening day only. Along with the scratch-off ticket, those who show up on opening day will be able to purchase hot dogs from a vendor for five cents from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Those who miss opening day will still be able to purchase 5 cent hot dogs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the day after.

The second event will be taking place on opening day and for two days after. Anyone who shops at Five Below during these three days will receive a free sack, will be able to participate in activities going on throughout the store, and will be able to enter a sweepstakes which will be giving the winner a $100 shopping spree.
