Cypress Library to host several events in October

October 3, 2017 by

For those who live in Cypress or in nearby areas such as Los Alamitos, the Cypress Library will be hosting a number of events throughout the month of October that are free to attend.

Seven different events will be taking place this month. The first four of them involve reading and will be taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays on October 4, 9, 11, 18, and 21. These reading events will be available to dog owners, toddlers, preschoolers, babies, and families that speak both English and Spanish.

On October 16, the library will be hosting a Record Club meeting for adults where they will be able to bring their favorite music and discuss it with the group.

On October 19, there will be a chess club meeting for children and teens who are in 3rd through 8th grade. The meeting will allow beginners to learn about the game and give them the opportunity to practice their skills by playing with others. This event will be taking place from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

On October 21, a community educator from the L.A. Opera will be talking about events that are taking place at the venue through a fun, interactive presentation. The event for this month that will be discussed is La Belle et La BĂȘte (Beauty and the Beast).

For more information about these events, or to view the event flyers, visit the Los Alamitos, California Patch calendar section.
