Summertime will be movie time in Carlsbad

June 26, 2017 by

This summer, the Carlsbad Village Association will be hosting a series of evenings where the public can relax and enjoy a movie under the stars.

During Flicks at the Fountain 2017, community members are invited to come to the fountain, as they will be shown behind it. The films selected for this outdoor theater will be family friendly, and there will be no fee charged to attend. People are encouraged to bring along their blankets or a low-back chair to sit on while they socialize and watch the show. A printer can supply flyers that can be posted throughout the community to advertise an event like this to the public.

Those who come out are welcome to bring along a picnic, and there are also many eateries nearby. It will even be possible for them to order a pizza and have it sent to their seat while they mingle with friends old and new. The seating opens at 6:00 pm, and the movies will start at dusk.

The Carlsbad Village Association noted that the plan is for the series of outdoor movies to begin on July 6, and it will end for the season on August 24. They will be shown at the fountain, which is located at the corner of Grand Avenue and State Street. Everyone is welcome, and further details, including a list of the movies to be screened, can be found on the Visit Carlsbad website.
