Unique seafood restaurant to open in Tyler

September 20, 2017 by

Shell Shack, a seafood restaurant based in Carrollton that features snow crab, king crab, and crawfish, is planning to open a location in Tyler.

Jon Glaser, with the Shell Shack corporation, said that the company is working with developers to open three restaurants, with the one in Tyler opening first, and then potentially two others in Texarkana and Longview.

Glaser said that the restaurant is different from others like it that offer crab, as special spices are permeated with the seafood. Customers can select the spices they want and the level of heat, so that each item is cooked to order. The restaurant will serve lunch as well as dinner, and will have a happy hour.

The menu is not extensive but focuses on its specialty, which is quality seafood.

This is the first restaurant in the chain that will be new construction, Glaser added, as the four other restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area were restaurants that were converted into Shell Shacks. This means that it can be uniquely designed and will have a patio facing Broadway.

The restaurant is expected to open in January 2018.

Print companies can be used by restaurants such as this one to create flyers with more general information about its menu, as well as weekly flyers for any specials that might be offered during the grand opening.
