Tyler will soon be the home to Fuddruckers, a fast casual restaurant with a heritage based in Texas.

The restaurant will be in the new Patriots Corner Shopping Center across from the University of Texas campus. The restaurant is expected to open in Fall 2017and will be 4,100 square feet in size, with a large outdoor patio.

Luby’s Inc., based in Houston and the parent company of Fuddruckers, and the landlord of the Patriots Corner Shopping Center, Bergfeld Realty Company, LLC, based in Tyler, have had a longstanding relationship. Luby’s cafeteria has been a tenant since 1965 in the Bergfield Shopping Center which the realty company also leases and manages and has drawn many local residents for generations.

Chief Operating Officer of Luby’s, Inc., Peter Tropoli, commented that the company is excited about bringing its food to the dynamic college town of Tyler. He is looking forward to creating the same relationships in the community that the company has been able to do for over 50 years with its other establishments.

In addition to burgers, Fuddruckers offers platters, salads, and sandwiches, and their signature Build Your Own produce bar.

Banner printing companies could be hired to create banners at the site of the Fuddruckers so students and the rest of the community can keep abreast of its construction progress with more details as to the exact date opening.
