Orange SSA searches for early childhood education service provider

The Early Childhood Development Center, located at the Tustin Family Campus, is seeking a party to provide early education services.

The Social Services Agency (SSA) of Orange County is accepting proposals from educational institutions as well as for-profit and non-profit organizations that comply with the Request for Proposal (RFP). Those that most closely meet its requirements will having an edge.

To be competitive a proposal would ideally include plans to increase knowledge of child development for parents and guardians, as well as support kindergarten readiness and healthy development. Brochure printers could be instrumental in ensuring that the necessary information is readily available when needed.

Also, additional program characteristics to assist children at risk for abuse or neglect with social-emotional, educational, developmental, and health needs would go a long way toward impressing the SSA. The Center’s primary function is to provide children living at the TFC Mother and Child Residential Homes with the early childhood services they need.

It is anticipated that conditional upon the Orange County Board of Supervisors approval, a five-year contract will be awarded; although, the possibility of a three-year contract is also an option. The capacity for The Early Childhood Development Center is 24 children aging from birth through five years.

The SSA expects to have The Center completely operational as of July 1, 2017.
