Event puts Tustin’s best homes on view

The Tustin Area Historical Society will showcase lovingly restored vintage homes and gardens during its 22nd Annual Old Town Tustin Home and Garden Tour.

Participants to this year’s ‘Shake, Rattle, & Stroll Thru Old Town Tustin’ event are invited to walk through the buildings and gardens featured during the tour. Those that attend will learn more about the story of the home, as well as some of the special items preserved inside. The houses chosen are those that have been restored while still preserving the original charm of the design.

The event will include many other activities including a vintage vehicle display, a quilt show, and live music. Craft vendors and a horse-drawn trolley will also be at the event. This annual Tustin event is a fundraiser for the Historical Society and the museum the group maintains.

Volunteers are still needed, and anyone interested is asked to visit the historical society volunteer page. Vendors that would like to donate to the organization, display their crafts or offer promotional products for the event are asked to contact the group by email as soon as possible via tustinmuseum@att.net.

The event will take place on May 5 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The opening ceremony for the event starts at 9:30 am in front of Mrs. B’s Consignment Shop at 115 W Main Street in Tustin. Tickets bought before May 4 are $25 or $30 on the day of the event. Children under 10 get in free. A Tree Walk is also available for $5 per ticket.
