Torrington school presents Summer Carnival and Fireworks

June 19, 2017 by

Although not on the 4th of July, we will be seeing fireworks shortly thereafter. Torrington Middle School will be the location for its annual Summer Carnival and Fireworks celebration.

The two-day festival will feature games, carnival rides and all those summer treats we expect at such an event. The food and beverages will be for purchase from local food vendors. Live music from local musicians will be entertaining the crowd. Fans of these performers will want to contact them before and after their acts to see if they have any promotional products with them such as t-shirts, hats and promotional drinkware.

Fireworks will be the grand finale on the first night.

The event is scheduled for Friday, July 7th and Saturday, July 8th at Torrington Middle School, 200 Middle School Drive, Torrington. The fun will begin at 4:00 pm and go until after the fireworks. The fireworks will be displayed on Friday night at dusk (approximately 9:15 pm) or the following day, Saturday, July 8th if the weather becomes a problem.

Parking fees will be levied on the night of the fireworks only. Vehicles parking at the middle school will be charged $10; Walk-ins will be $2 per person. Parking is also available at nearby Bishop Donnelly and the field right next to it. There vehicles will pay $5 for admission.
