The Colony to host egg-stravagant hunt

Families in The Colony are getting egg-cited for the 2017 Spring Eggstravaganza. The evening event promises photo ops, activities, and – of course – lots of candy filled eggs.

To help make sure everyone gets a chance to participate, the city is actually offering multiple egg hunts during the event. The complex being used to host the celebration is large enough to set up more than one hunt at a time, so children can be sure they have a chance at snagging some eggs.

As a bonus, an adult egg hunt will also be held. To participate, interested visitors must first win a dance off. The eggs in the adult egg hunt will contain promotional products like gift certificates and discount coupons, or even cash in lieu of candy.

Aside from the hunts, the Eggstravaganza will also have plenty of activities. Bounces Houses will be set up and a petting zoo is being organized. Additionally, families will be able to plant a flower in a pot, which they will then be allowed to take home with them.

The Spring Eggstravaganza will be held on April 13 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at The Colony Five Star Sports Complex located at 4100 Blair Oaks Dr. Cost to participate is $3 per child when registered in advance or $5 the day of the event. Anyone looking for more information should contact the Colony Parks and Recreation Department.
