Tempe event to offer a day of colorful play

A day of colorful fun has been planned for Tempe, and everyone is invited to come out to Kiwanis Park and join in the celebration.

The Festival of Colors, which pays homage to a popular annual event in India, will include a variety of activities that can be enjoyed by all ages. The organizers noted that it will give everyone who comes out a chance to forget about the stresses in their day-to-day lives and just have fun.

The agenda for the day includes everything from dancing in the “rain”, to water slides, music supplied by DJ Sean and DJ ISAAC, and a performance by EXODUS Dance Artistry. Live food counters will be on site for those who would like a snack or even a full meal, and in keeping with the theme of the occasion, the whole function will include lots of playing with colors for children and adults alike.

As attendees enjoy themselves, they will also have an opportunity to learn more about Indian culture, and the planners noted that they have some surprises planned as well. A local banner printing service can be called upon to craft themed banners for this type of occasion.

This color-filled welcome to spring will be taking place on March 4, and tickets are available both online and at the gate. More information can be found on the Tempe Tourism website.
