Tacoma presentation to shed a light on solar

September 6, 2017 by

Solar power can prove to be a viable option for Tacoma residents, and an event has been planned that will give area homeowners further details about how they can make this alternative energy source work for them.

During the Solar in Tacoma presentation, attendees will be given an introduction to how photovoltaics (PV) can be used to lower the impact of their carbon footprint on the environment.

There will be a discussion of solar power that the organizers feel will help people decide if it is an option that is viable for them. Details about the financial impact of going solar, as well as its technical and environmental benefits will also be given. Guests will be served craft beer, soft drinks, and pizza, courtesy of the Puget Sound Co-operative Credit Union.

After the conclusion of the presentation, those who attend will have a chance to sign up for a solar site survey of their home or other property. There will be no fee charged for this service. Presentation folders that contain information about the topic being discussed can be prepared by a local printer for a function such as this.

The presentation has been planned for October 10, and it will be held in the Tacoma Nature Center. Anyone who would like to find out more can do so through the host’s website.
