Course on offer for members of the Tacoma food service community

Tacoma food service industry personnel who are considering staring up their own enterprise are invited to reserve their seat in a workshop that will help them to learn more about the process, and if it is a business model that is right for them.

Thyme Well Spent and Rain Incubator will be hosting How to Start Your Own Food Truck Business, which will equip those who take part with knowledge they can use to get a mobile food company up and running. It will cover an assortment of topics, and has been planned to give information of a practical nature.

The course will discuss designing the truck, crafting a menu and choosing a location, the applicable Health Department regulations, costing and designing a business plan, and marketing through social media and other means. Current food truck owners will address the audience, and they will answer questions and share best practices and other secrets of their success.

The attendees in the function will be treated to lunch, and there will be time for them to network with one another help to build the Tacoma food truck community. Print shops can be called upon to supply everything from flyers to truck decals and other marketing materials that can aid in starting up a successful operation.

This course will be offered at 2304 Jefferson Avenue in Tacoma on March 31. The registration fee has been set at $100.00 per person.
