Studio City ghosts and goblins head for Griffith Park

September 28, 2017 by

Griffith Park will be opening its 9th annual Halloween Hayride very soon. Along with the hayride will be scare zones, terrifying clowns, and a Trick-or-Treat Zone.

A tour through the demonic haunted house and a romp through a dark maze will be the activities at the House of Shadows. In the Trick-Or-Treat Zone, brave souls from Studio City will go door to door getting candy from terrifying strangers in the Hell Neighborhood.

The Purgatory zone will be an “old world haunted village” that will have a Scary-Go-Round, shows at the Theatre Macabre, and sessions with a psychic. The Grub Shop will be selling treats and drinks. Everyone will want to stop at the Bootique for Halloween mementoes. Guests will want to don their newly purchased costumes and have their pictures taken for family calendars and possible future poster printing.

The Haunted Hayride takes visitors through the park’s haunted woods. A hay wagon pulled by a tractor will pass by a legion of ghoulish clowns and life-sized sets, which will be narrated and manned by a cast of characters. In the middle of the ride, passengers will get out of the wagon and walk through the Corn Maze.

Those who enjoy all things Halloween will want to mark their calendars for Haunted Hayride’s opening night from 7:00 to 10:30 pm at Griffith Park, 4730 Crystal Springs Ave., Los Angeles tomorrow, September 29.
