Studio City foodies go to Vegfest

April 27, 2017 by

Studio City food lovers get to go to Vegfest Los Angeles, formerly known as WorldFest, in a few days’ time. This free event will be a celebration of vegan international food, speakers, and fun.

Over 50 booths and trucks will be serving vegan food.

The main stage will feature celebrity speakers and live music from The Turners, Nin & Randa (a vegan songwriting/singer twin duo) and Darden (four part harmonies by a sister band). The Vegspiration tent will house vegan health displays, discussions, and speakers such as Gene Baur and Dr. Neal Barnard, who will be addressing themes like health, humanitarianism, and animals.

The Learning Kitchen will highlight cooking demonstrations using simple, fun, tasty, and healthy recipes. High Carb Hannah, Mommy Tang, Rawvana, and Vegan Black Metal chef will be presenting.

Kids’ activities will be found in the Kids’ Kingdom. Here, children can enjoy listening to storytelling, make crafts, get their faces painted, and hula hoop. They can sit in the chillout fort and be entertained by children’s entertainers.

Dogs, cats, bunnies, and other domestic pets will be available for adoption.

The Eco-Market Place will have over 150 vendors. Sponsors who advertise with the event will receive either a VIP gift bag or rotating banner. Exhibitors will be showcasing their services, products, and missions.

Vegfest will be this Sunday, April 30, from 10:30 am until 6:30 pm in Woodley Park, 6004-6076 Woodley Avenue in Encino.
