The Sundance Next Fest is a four-day event that offers Studio City folks who could not make it to the Sundance Film Festival a chance to view the bizarre, cutting-edge, trendy eight films that won recognition there this year.

Tickets include one of the eight movies, musical guest pairings, after movie panels, and live presentations given by Next Fest filmmakers. There will also be comedy pairings and a production of shorts that will be curated.

The first evening will show the movie Reservoir Dogs, after which the Sundance Institute will be honoring its director Quentin Tarantino with its Vanguard Leadership Award. Afterwards, guests will be invited outdoors to enjoy a night party presented by Acura. The party will have food, music, games, and beverages.

The next night will have the film Lemon, the plot of which revolves around Isaac Lachmann, whose life is spiraling downwards. The movies will be followed by a live performance by Lizzo.

Saturday evening will show three films, followed by music by Sleigh Bells. The last night of the fest will feature Dina, Golden Exits, and L.A. Times. Music will be courtesy of Electric Guest.

Movie fans will want to mark their calendars and get their tickets, as the event will be at the Theatre at Act Hotel, 929 S Broadway, Los Angeles from August 10 through August 13. Times vary.
