St. Louis to welcome Rush Bowls

Rush Bowls, a chain of restaurants based in Colorado, is set to open a location in St. Louis soon, according to an article in the Riverfront Times.

In fact, Kim and Ken Moroney, who own the shop, say they hope to open at least three locations in St. Louis in the next few years.

There are three types of bowls on the menu: “enlightenment bowls,” “comfort bowls,” or acai bowls. Each category has a half-dozen bowls available, made of various combinations of granola, fruit, and sometimes fat-free frozen yogurt.

The comfort bowls offer healthy alternatives to familiar dishes. The “apple pie” bowl, for instance, consists of a more health-conscious twist on the traditional, containing fat-free ingredients. The chain’s signature bowl is the “beach bowl,” which combines mango, acai, guava juice and banana, topped with honey and organic granola. Dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and vegan options are available.

Andrew Pudalov founded Rush Bowls in 2004 in Boulder, Colorado, where it has garnered a following. He began franchise operations in 2016, and currently operates in two states only. However, he plans to open shops in Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Indiana, Georgia, Colorado, Connecticut, California, and of course Missouri.

The new shop is scheduled to open on Monday, March 26. Shops like this might consider distributing promotional products to their first customers, both to thank them, and to build brand awareness.
